Canvas Tracker is built with privacy as a core principle. We only collect what's necessary to provide you with assignment reminders.

What Data We Collect

• Account Information: Email address and password (encrypted) when you create an account.
• Assignment Data: Assignment titles, due dates, course names synced from your Canvas account.
• Canvas Domain: Your school's Canvas URL to identify your institution.

How We Use Your Data

• Send email reminders about upcoming assignments
• Display your assignments in the calendar dashboard
• Improve our service based on aggregate usage patterns

Data Storage & Security

• Data is stored securely using Supabase with encryption at rest
• Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text
• All data transmission uses HTTPS encryption
• We use Row Level Security to ensure you can only access your own data

Third-Party Services

• Supabase: Database and authentication
• Resend: Email notifications
• Stripe: Payment processing for Pro subscriptions

We do not share your personal data with any other third parties.

What We DON'T Do

• Sell your data to advertisers or data brokers
• Access your Canvas grades or submissions
• Track your browsing history
• Share your information with your school

Your Rights

• Access: View all data we have about you
• Export: Download your assignment data
• Delete: Request deletion of your account and all data
• Opt-out: Disable notifications at any time

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy occasionally. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification.
